A creative polymath with a mastery in textiles!

Welcome to my creative world! I am Anoushka Srivastava, a textile designer, photographer, and cultural enthusiast. My journey began in India at La Martiniere Girls' College in Lucknow, where I was introduced to the hand-embroidered craft of Chikankari. I further honed my skills at the National Institute of Fashion Technology and am currently expanding my horizons with an MA in Textile Design at Nottingham Trent University.

As a textile designer, I embrace a holistic approach, viewing materials not as limitations but as opportunities for endless exploration. My work blends innovative techniques with rich cultural narratives, drawing inspiration from the diverse heritage of India to create pieces that tell compelling stories.

 

Photography is another avenue for my creativity. I am an avid photography enthusiast, capturing the beauty in the unexplored and overlooked. My lens is a storytelling tool, documenting cultural histories and retracing stories through time.

 

My dedication to textile revival is fueled by a deep respect for cultural history and craftsmanship. I aim to preserve and reinvent traditional practices, celebrating the rich legacy of our artisans.
